Our attorneys have backgrounds in various technical disciplines including computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, biology, biomedical engineering, microbiology, chemistry, aerospace engineering, environmental engineering, physics, architecture, and pharmacy. All attorneys have advanced technical degrees or doctorates. We speak and write in many languages. Even if we are not fluent in your native language, we will ensure clear, effective communication — finding the right words to connect and collaborate.
A strong foundation in science, language, interpersonal skills, and legal expertise – combined with a deep understanding of effective communication – enables us to provide comprehensive representation in all aspects of intellectual property. This includes identifying intangibles, obtaining IP rights, enforcing IP, managing portfolios in M&A and equity investments, technology transfers, development agreements, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and research agreements and framework agreements.
Regionally we are active at the DPMA, BPatG, BGH, EPO, UPC, EUIPO, WIPO, IGE/IPI and we have further expertise for representation at the Austrian Patent Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office.
